Changing the world one step at a time

Obama askes us the question "what would you do to change the world?". I know I have thought about this question many times and each time I come up with a different answer. My first career choice was in the criminal justice field where I knew I wanted to make a difference. I wanted to be able to go to work everyday and be able to send people to jail to give some families closure. One day at a time I would be able to make a small change in the world by locking up people who commit crimes and try to make the world a safer place. I know this wouldn't completely change the world because crime never stops but it still can help in some way.
My second career choice is to become an accountant even though I'm not sure what type of accountant I want to be. If I choose to become a federal accountant I would create a budget that eliminated the deficit and created jobs for everyone. This would make a large impact in the world knowing that now the people that lost their jobs would be able to get one.
Even though I'm stuck between two career paths whichever one I choose I will try to make a difference any way I can. I think everyone wants to be able to change the world in some way but many people are scared to try and do it.

  1. I think both of your career choices would be great. It's always reasuring to have the law looking out for the greater of not just millions of people but for 1 family that really needs that extra step for clorsure. Being an accountant would be great as well and would impact a much larger scale but still just as respectable

  4. Well Meghan you have to think of it in a few ways. Working with criminal justice your putting your life on the line for minimal pay and find a job in suffolk and nassua is near impossible since we are the hieghest paid in the country but on the other hand accounting you can find yourself being incharge of finaces for a major company where you're in charge and have to be respounsible for everything
