The importance of a Police Officer

In Obama’s speech he talks about our economy and how it is changing and the types of changes that we can make toward it. He asks a specific question, “What would you change about the world?”. My future career profession as a Police Officer will have a lot to do with Obama’s question I believe.
I think that Police Officers have a huge impact on society and how soceity is run. Yes the government enforces and creates the rules, but Police Officers are there to make sure everyone is following these rules. I believe and see that Police Officers are out there working everyday like normal people who have jobs, but they are out there to prevent crime and stop it. They are out there putting their lives at risk to keep society secure and even the President safe.
I think that the job of being a police officer can help change the world by doing what it is doing right now. The top priority of being a cop is to make sure that nobody is getting hurt or in danger. They are incharge of keeping the public incheck. The secret service does a great job by protecting the President and always making sure that nobody is trying to harm him or his family. That is a huge and important job because they are protecting the man who enforces laws and keeps our state in control. He is the man that warns us of any danger that will happen and who makes sure everyone is going to be getting treated equal. In Obama’s speech he brings up many different points about taxes, the no child left behind rule, health care, re-creating our roads and buildings. All of these topics are extremely important and if we did not have Obama or any President to address and talk about this to us, God only knows what our country would be like. That is why having police and secret service is important because they are there to protect the President.
You asked the question of how my job will change the world, but I think that it already has been changing the world for decades now. I think that how the police are doing their jobs and how they act are very professional and helpful. Cops change the world because they prevent crimes and protect the people. They enforce thee President’s laws and make sure society is following them.
President Obama comes across good points in his speech, and in order to start change and start making the world a better place to live in, we are going to need Police Officer’s to make sure we are following the President’s rules and ideas to make the world a better place.
