Marine Bio and the Economy

Changing the world takes one step at a time. The Ocean is a big step to take too. There’s so much ocean out there and so much we don’t know about it. Marine Biology studies everything from the tiniest single celled organism drifting through the waves to the largest animal on the planet. Marine Scientist are studying the fastest sea animals and how they move, and pairing up with engineers’ to try together bring about better, and faster technology that will lets us explore the ocean much more effectively. For who could guess what’s hidden in those dark depths.
We definitely need to start something big to clean up the ocean, which is constantly being littered with our waste products. Causing lakes and rivers run toxic waste in our oceans.

  1. i am taking oceanography this semester and thats why your post caught my eye. a lot of people dont understand that the world is made up of two/thirds waters and everyday people are finding new organisms that live in the ocean. the ocean really needs to be cleaned up more your right and people need to take it more seriously.

  2. Any for of scientific study is something that can make a big difference. I've heard about all the things in the ocean that we haven't discovered yet and it's fascinating

  3. Our oceans are often overlooked. This is very unique and no doubt a job that need to be done.

  4. I agree we do need to study our oceans more in depth. They could hold answers to problems we have every day. Most people fear the ocean for it is so big and covers so much of the earth but we do need to study it more closely.

  5. A lot of people don't realize how much damage the human race is doing to the ocean. We need to show the people exactly what damage we are causing. Still so much is unknown and we are discovering things frequently, but things are changing down there due to us. I saw a documentary on one of the science channels about Octopi. They discovered they are a lot smarter then we think they are. Though their brain is quite different from ours studies have shown they memorize, and also problem solve. They can learn from each other as well. So what else don’t we known about the animals we’ve known about for centuries, and what else is there for us to discover?
