Every person’s view of how they would change the world differs from person to person including Obama’s view in his “State Of The Union Address”. I believe my career as a Veterinarian would change our world because of all the help I would give to all of the animals all over the world. Some people do not understand the severity of animal neglect that goes on everywhere. By me becoming a Veterinarian I could possibly make it easier for people to bring their animals in to get spayed and neutered. This would allow shelters and such to have less of an abundance of animals because less female animals would be able to produce.
The way I could make this happen is by making it cheaper for people to bring in their animals to get spayed or neutered because most people are not doing that now days because of the economy and personal money issues. There are so many innocent animals being youthenized all over the world and nobody seems to be against that. I would make it easier on people by having a Vet office that has its own form of a credit card so that when people do not have the money to take care of their pet they are still able to have a backup plan always. There are people in this world that don’t have the money to take care of their pet when it needs surgery or anything like that so they find it easier and cheaper to bring it to a shelter.
A lot of people in this world do adopt animals from shelters but usually under certain circumstances, that being that the animal is young and healthy. So when someone has an older animal they put up for adoption because they could not afford the surgery or afford the medication for that animal that animal is now old and sick and nobody will want to adopt it, and in turn that animal will be youthenized. I do not agree with any of this.
Another thing I would change about the world when I become a veterinarian is the puppy mills around the world. A lot of people have never even heard of a puppy mill. Most puppies that people buy in the stores are actually from puppy mills. Puppy mills are basically a farm where they breed dogs in a horrible way to sell for a cheap price. When I saw a puppy mill on TV for the first time I almost didn’t believe it. The dogs and puppies are all caged in tiny cages where most of them never even learned how to walk. They stay outside in every kind of weather and live in inches of mud and feces and bugs. It’s a really sad situation and when I become a vet I will do everything I can do make this illegal and get rid of every puppy mill that has ever existed. I don’t care if it will cost me millions of dollars; I believe that it will all be well worth it in the end.
I am a strong person against puppy mills too! Your ideas about payment's in your office are great! Everyone could use a little help in this economy!
ReplyDeleteLook into health insurance for pets. The credit card system sounds good. You would be happy to know that a puppy mill in Hampton Bays was recently shut down by local concerned citizens.
ReplyDeletethanks, i am glad other people are concerned with puppy mills as well because a lot of people that i bring this issue up too have never heard of puppy mills. first time i heard of a puppy mill and saw what it was all about was an episode on oprah, thats when i really got into it. and i am glad to hear about the puppy mill closing down in hampton bays, now they need to close them down everywhere else!
