Technological Evolution

From C to Java computer programming technology has driven itself to the point of making computers a way of life. As an Information Tech major with an emphasis on programming I have matured in the age of information technology experiencing the changes in society first hand.
Quick, easy and portable access to information has changed the way we communicate and do business on a daily basis. Behind the hardware that has made technology accessible is the software created to facilitate how we communicate and make decisions.
Processing data quickly and making this information meaningful is essential. Business's profit margins rely upon decisions based on the accuracy and quality of their data. Software enables us to gather and manipulate large amounts of information faster and more accurately than ever. Society uses software for this purpose and I hope to maintain and improve upon it through my educational and professional experiences.

  1. I agree with you 100% on this, but it's a bit scary at the same time. With the worlds technology excelling at such a rapid pace it's been cutting thousands of jobs and only producing a minimal percent of what it has terminated. I also believe that with the upcoming technology people will find easier loop-holes in stealing ones identity. I support the modernization of technology but believe it should be monitored so we don't go to ahead of our time.

  2. Technology should be regulated. The internet as it stands now is unregulated and can facilitate illegal activities especially identity theft. As far as job creation, it does take fewer people in the work place to do a job.

  3. Technology is really important now a days. We rely on our computers for everything. Totally agree that identity theft is on the rise, and it's awesome that there are people out there whose jobs can change and help this issue.
