complaint letter questions

1) My audience is toys r us that I bought the wii fit from and the balance board came broken. I told them how I opend the box and it was broken. I also added that I shop at there store a good amount during the year for gifts and that I never had a problem with them.

2) I went about organizing my paragraphs by introducing what kind of customer I am and that it wasn’t my first time shopping there, that was my first paragraph. My second paragraph I talked about what happened when I opened the box and how it came broke right after I just bought it. Then my next paragraph I explained what Id like them to do to solve my problem and the last paragraph i gave them a number to contact me and explained that i hoped they would let me know what the out come will be and if they can fix the problem.

3) I think I need to add a few more sentences to my first paragraph and maybe a more details to the last paragraph when I talk about the company contacting me back

  1. Who specifically at Toys R' Us are you addressing in your letter? When you opened the box was it already broken, or did it break after the first use? What outcome are you expecting?

  2. Kristie, overall you are really specific in the second question but I'm wondering as Mike is about who you think your audience is specifically at Toys R' Us. Is it a full time worker versus a part time worker? A manager versus a store clerk? Why might that matter?
